Code of Conduct

All students are required to maintain the following standards:

  • Follow instructor directions immediately and without argument
  • Prioritise safety and control at all times
  • Treat instructors and training partners with respect
  • No unsanctioned techniques, excessive force, or reckless behaviour
  • No training under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Maintain appropriate hygiene, attire, and equipment
  • Breaches of this Code may result in suspension or permanent removal from training without refund.

Weapons Training Waiver – Summary

All students participating in training acknowledge that:

  • Training involves weapons and weapon-based movements, including blades, sticks, and close-range contact
  • There is an inherent risk of injury despite controlled instruction and safety measures
  • Participation is voluntary and undertaken at the student’s own risk
  • Students must disclose relevant injuries or medical conditions prior to training
  • All safety instructions must be followed at all times

A full waiver must be reviewed and signed prior to participation in any weapons-based training.

To protect training quality and instructor availability, the following applies:

  • All sessions must be prepaid to confirm a booking
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the session are charged in full
  • No-shows are charged in full and forfeit the session
  • Package sessions deducted once booked

Late arrivals may result in reduced session time without fee adjustment.

Weapons Training Waiver (Full)

This waiver is written in plain English to ensure clarity and understanding. It is a condition of participation in all training.

1. Acknowledgement of Risk
I acknowledge that training involves weapons and weapon-based movements, including but not limited to blades, sticks, and close-range contact. I understand that such training carries inherent risks, including serious injury.

2. Voluntary Participation
I confirm that my participation is voluntary. I accept full responsibility for my actions and agree to train within my physical and mental limits. I will immediately inform the instructor of any pain, injury, or concern.

3. Medical Disclosure
I declare that I am physically and mentally fit to participate. I agree to disclose any medical conditions, injuries, or medications that may affect my ability to train safely.

4. Assumption of Risk & Responsibility
I understand that while safety protocols are enforced, no training environment is risk-free. To the extent permitted by law, I accept responsibility for injury, loss, or damage arising from my participation.

5. Release & Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and indemnify the instructor, assistants, and training venue from claims arising out of participation, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

6. Compliance with Instruction
I agree to follow all instructions and safety protocols. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from training without refund.

Participation is conditional upon acceptance of this waiver and completion of any required documentation.
